Our Hong Kong office now requires a focused telesales professional with the drive and ability to join our successful and highly energised subscription sales team. Selling subscription products for our magazine and website Campaign, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing a selection of the most prominent, marketing, PR and advertising industry client’s across Asia, and for the team delivering the Campaign subscription sales targets.
Remuneration: Dependent on experience of the candidate, but likely in the range HK$20,000 to HK$25,000 per month basic salary, plus commission and benefits provided. Excellent earning opportunity and career progression.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Head of Group Subscriptions Sales
Daily sales responsibilities and management of campaign subscription team
Managing and achieving sales targets and product yield
Development of corporate bulk subscription sales and sponsorship opportunities
Renewing existing customer’s subscription accounts whilst up selling new subscription products
Warm and cold call prospecting via telephone within different geographic areas
Calling key individuals and companies to introduce products and offer subscriptions. Open opportunities and close sales
Making daily call quotas and meeting weekly and monthly sales target figures
Follow up on new leads from various sources provided, qualifying customer potential for subscriptions
Cross selling of other content based sales where suitable opportunity arises
Document all outbound and inbound calling activity in the sales force CRM tool
Acquire and relay competitive and client knowledge to management
On occasion work during hours specified, based on country time zone assigned. (e.g. 8PM – 2AM for US Markets).
REQUIRMENTS
The successful candidate will have excellent telephone skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in English. Targeting both existing and potential new subscribers and prospects throughout the regions, the ability to plan and prioritise personal sales activity, along with a positive work ethic, is essential.
Sales knowledge of publishing, media, marketing, pr, and advertising industries would be advantageous, but ground level experience in telesales is an essential requirement. A subscription sales background is strongly preferred with a track record of closing sales and hitting targets. Excellent standard of English language is expected. Cantonese or Mandarin speaking is an advantage, but not a requirement.
