General Ad Info
If supplying Rich Media (.swf) please supply backup gif or animated gif (same file restrictions apply)

Creative/Animation:
- The animation should not contain strobing effects.
- The creative should not disable fields or functionality on the site
- The creative should not disable browser back buttons or force any plugins to be downloaded.
- Creative materials must be provided at least 2 working days prior to the campaign start date.
- Newsletter creatives cannot be implemented in Flash and are limited to GIFs/JPGs. (* NB. Vista Outlook does not allow animated gifs – it will only display the first frame of file)
- Rich Media creatives should not contain sound unless it is click-initiated and pre-approved by Haymarket Media.
Flash:
- Creatives click through commands have to open the destination address in a new window
- Insert the appropriate click ActionScript code into your Flash file.
- The ActionScript code should look like the following:
- Supply .swf as Flash up to version 9
- Supply .swf within the file size limitations
- Supply .gif backup file within file size limitations. (The SWF publish process allows for an animated GIF to be created at the same time.)
- Supply URL
- looping unlimited
- Audio – user initiated only (please notify us prior to supplying)
- Video – must be 3rd party ad served – contact your ad server for their specs and file size limitations

GIF or JPG ad:
- Supply .gif (animated or static) or .jpg within file size limitations
- Supply URL
Tips on reducing the file size of animated GIF ads:
- reduce the number of frames in the animation (ie. inbetween movements)
- reduce the number of colours
- minimise the use of photo-like images in the animation
- maximise the amount of flat colour used (ie. No colour gradients).
